From development to systems responsibility
I have worked in software for more than 20 years. My path began in development and evolved towards designing and taking responsibility for complex systems, where code, data, processes and people need to work together.
Today I work across B2C and B2B eCommerce, integrations between platforms and management systems, automation and operational software. I work with management, operations, technical teams and suppliers to turn different needs into clear decisions, priorities and responsibilities.
Areas of experience
Integrations and operational software
Flows across ERP, PIM, WMS, marketplaces and applications, with attention to data ownership, exceptions and monitoring.
Decisions and coordination
Architecture, priorities and acceptance criteria shared across leadership, operations, technical teams and suppliers.
Direct logistics experience
I am co-founder and CTO of Umbria Hub, which is direct operational experience rather than a client case study.
giuseppemorelli.net provides consulting, architecture, integration, automation and software; Umbria Hub provides 3PL operations: storage, picking, packing, shipping and returns. The two scopes remain distinct, and Umbria Hub is not presented as an automatic choice.
Technology and AI as tools
I select technologies and automation according to the process and its verification criteria. AI can assist analysis, research, prototyping, testing and implementation; review, security, validation and responsibility remain under my control.
