Connect marketplaces, eCommerce and ERP through controlled flows

Selling across channels means governing catalogue, prices, availability, orders, tracking and exceptional cases in different systems. Without a defined flow, each marketplace adds manual copies and more places where data can diverge.

Operational situations to resolve

  • Product data and prices differ across channels.
  • Stock is updated late or without a shared authoritative source.
  • Marketplace orders sit outside ERP, warehouse and shipping flows.
  • API errors or rejected records are discovered only after a customer is affected.

The intended operating model

Catalogue, prices, stock, orders and tracking need explicit rules across channels. Rejections must be observable, exceptions assigned and data reconcilable, without promising universal coverage of every marketplace function.

What I examine

I verify channel APIs and limits, data sources, frequency, volumes, category and attribute mapping, pricing and availability rules, order import, tracking, returns and exceptions. Verification comes before scope is confirmed.

What delivery can include

  • Publishing and updating catalogue data, attributes and media.
  • Synchronising prices and availability under agreed rules.
  • Importing orders into the commerce platform, OMS or ERP.
  • Sending tracking and states supported by the channel.
  • Validation, logs, retries, notifications and rejection reconciliation.
  • Feeds for comparison or advertising channels when included in scope.

Decisions that define the integration

Before implementation, the work defines the authoritative source for each data domain, frequency, delay tolerance, reserved-quantity handling, error ownership and the functions actually exposed by each channel API.

How the work proceeds

We start with the channel map and priority flow, define acceptance criteria and edge cases, release a verifiable scope and extend only after checking data and exceptions. See Method.

What I handle personally

I handle API analysis, data mapping, architecture, development or integration, verification and monitoring. Support for a marketplace is confirmed only after the required capabilities have been checked.

Relevant published work

The Portfolio documents the Shopify financial reports built for St George USA’s sales management control, using physical-store data as described in the published project entry.

Technologies and channels

Amazon SP-API, eBay API, REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, queues, scheduled jobs, XML, JSON and CSV are possible tools. The specific channel and function are confirmed after technical verification.
